in trenches veritas - in the trenches, there is truth. that's my unofficial slogan for @meleemarkets. here's why. culture is an amorphous life form. it constantly shifts, edits and updates. for years we relied on centralized sources to distribute information. first, it was priests and bibles. then came the printing press. in 20th century, it was news anchors and broadcast networks. then came the internet. twitter showed that by decentralizing the social graph, we increase the velocity of information. prediction markets showed that when you financialize sentiment, you discover truth. so what happens when you combine the two? that's what we're about to find out with melee as we put the power of prediction markets in the people's hands. instead of waiting for a platform like polymarket and kalshi to gatekeep and select the most interesting markets, we let the trenches decide. creators, thoughtleaders, citizen journalists - these people are the new media. on melee we empower them with technology and reward them as core pillars of this new information economy.
