@edwhitemagic @Yankees @Rockies From what I hear, have not seen it for myself yet, DJ told the team he could not play 3B anymore. If that is accurate this move is based on not wanting to keep him to play backup 2B and 1B.

@Yankees LeMahieu had two great seasons with the @yankees after a decent run with the @rockies. He’s a career .289 hitter with 1772 hits & 126 HR. He will remembered as a good player and teammate. But he’s not worth what he is being paid. Vivas is a stopgap. We need a real 3B who can hit.

Prior to tonight’s game, the Yankees made the following roster moves: • Recalled INF Jorbit Vivas (#90) from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre. • Designated INF DJ LeMahieu for assignment.

@MLBONFOX @Ken_Rosenthal I like how they say he “ moved to DH”, I understand it is different not playing in the field but it is not like moving to another position in the field. In the end either you are playing for the team or you are playing for yourself. Either winning matters or it doesn’t.

Also, yes, he had to make the trade for #6 otherwise Seattle was getting Bo at #7. That’s the only way he got them to trade up

@Jordan_Reid 3 #1's and a third to move from 7 to 1. Then drafts a LB. Then trades 3 years of #2's to move to #6. Then trades again to get his 3 #1's back and a PR. So - He gave up 3 #2's for no reason.
