The recent behavior of the US dollar is increasingly consistent with a market anticipating intervention in the rates market ahead. Lower rates and a weaker dollar are no longer optional policies. They are becoming absolutely essential for the system to function under current debt levels. Markets tied to those two macro forces are already starting to reprice aggressively ahead of that shift. Just look at the strength in hard assets and emerging markets over the last 12 to 24 months.
