It shows a complete of lack of understanding of what that is supposed to mean. It doesn’t mean that we are automatically accepted above others into God’s graces. In fact, given that Jews believe non Jews have to follow 7 Laws of the Sons of Noah (7 of the Ten Commandments that have nothing to do with belief in God or Judaism) and we have to follow 613, the opposite is true. We are expected to work harder to be embraced by Him. I believe that we were chosen to help others and to help the world to progress. And Israel is the perfect example of this. They drop everything to run and help others during natural disasters like wild fires and earthquakes with technologies only they have. And they have provided the world with tons of life progressing and life saving technologies. When Jews thrive, western civilization thrives with them. When we are rejected, only bad things happen.
