@kejamieson_ I find that the use of 'the' and a ships name is often a clear indication that someone has a link to the navy. As in "I was on the Glasgow". They would never say the HMS Glasgow.

People kept sending me a video on IG by a history content creator who used 'The HMS Victory' (which is ofc incorrect🤢). Commented something to this effect tagging a friend. Got a snarky message, aha. Clearly she is not from this side of the internet where the meme prevails.
