Enough is enough. Weโve reached a point where it feels like anything people say about Argentina will go viral. No one can convince me that everything Iโm seeing isnโt driven, at least in part, by chasing engagement.
Itโs somehow Argentinaโs fault that a clear penalty wasnโt given to them tonight, but no one wants to talk about that because it doesnโt generate interactions.
Itโs Argentinaโs fault that Portugal didnโt finish top of their group, and that neither Uruguay nor Spain managed to beat Cape Verde.
Itโs Argentinaโs fault that people keep spamming Messiโs out-of-context tackle against Algeria, while much harsher challenges have gone unpunished throughout this World Cup.
Itโs Argentinaโs fault that a Cape Verde player dove when Paredes didnโt even touch him, but that doesnโt fit the narrative people want.
Weโve seen terrible VAR decisions and far more controversial incidents throughout this World Cup, yet they barely get any attention because they donโt involve Argentina.
Everything is Argentinaโs fault. I've never seen anything like this.
