Five years ago, in the midst of the corporate craze to out do one another in support of DEI and BLM, @pepsiCo decided to eliminate its famous Aunt Jemima brand for pancake mix, and create a new one, “Pearl Milling Co”. In my family we immediately stopped buying the product. Five years later I’ve had the chance to try the product again. Evidently we weren’t the only ones that stopped buying, the packages now come with a bright text with the words “formerly Aunt Jemima”. My conclusion after reluctantly breaking my boycott: The product did not only change brand, it changed ingredients and taste. Calling it “formerly Aunt Jemima” is deceptive. I’m back to my boycott.

American Airlines and Miami-Dade County officials unveiled plans for a $1 billion expansion of Miami International Airport’s Concourse D ✈️
17 traditional gates will replace the current ones, accommodating larger aircraft and doing away with outside boarding.
The expansion will have three levels offering more boarding space at every gate, new shopping and dining options along with an enhanced baggage handling system
Construction is slated to begin in 2027 with completion by 2030
