@LindseyGrahamSC So @SenJoniErnst, @LindseyGrahamSC, we're supposed to take all of Israel's bombings and ceasefire violations and ask them how much further they'd like us to bend over? Otherwise we disappoint you? Also if we pay you both the $1.6mn AIPAC paid you, would you be less disappointed?

It is clear that the Lebanese Chief Head of Defense -- because of a reference to Israel as the enemy and his weak almost non-existent effort to disarm Hezbollah -- is a giant setback for efforts to move Lebanon forward. This combination makes the Lebanese Armed Forces not a very good investment for America.
Joni Ernst@SenJoniErnst

Disappointed by this statement from @LebArmyOfficial. The LAF are a strategic partner, and — as I discussed with the CHOD in August — Israel has given Lebanon a real opportunity to free itself from Iran-backed Hezbollah terrorists. Instead of seizing that opportunity and working together to disarm Hezbollah, the CHOD is shamefully directing blame at Israel.

Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu, wanted for war crimes by the International Criminal Court, met today with American social media influencers and told them that TikTok is the “most important” “weapon” in the fight to secure Israel’s base on the right. “Weapons change over time… the most important ones are on social media,” Netanyahu said, before quizzing the group on what’s the most important one that is being “purchased” right now. One influencer guessed “bots.” Netanyahu corrected them: “TikTok.” He added that the other key platform is X, stressing Elon Musk is “not an enemy” and must be engaged. He urged the content creators to help secure support on the right for the Israeli apartheid state.

Personal Thoughts: (not for everyone, feel free to skip) For the longest time, I struggled with my identity. A Palestinian kid born inside Israel. Like…wtf. Many of my friends refuse to this day to say the word “Israel” and call themselves “Palestinian” only. But since I was 12, that did not make sense to me. So I decided to mix the two and become a “Palestinian-Israeli” I thought this term reflected who I was. Palestinian first. Israeli second. But after recent events, I started to think. And think. And think. And then my thoughts turned to anger. I realized that if Israel were to be “invaded” like that again, we would not be safe. To a terrorist invading Israel, all citizens are targets. 900 Israelis died so far. More than 40 of them are Arabs. Killed by other Arabs. And even 2 Thai people died too. And I do not want to live under a Palestinian government. Which means I only have one home, even if I’m not Jewish: Israel. That’s where all my family lives. That’s where I grew up. That’s the country I want to see continue to exist so I can exist. Palestine should exist too as an independent state. And I hope to see the country thrive and become less extreme and more prosperous. I love Palestine and have invested in Palestine. But it’s not my home. So from today forward, I view myself as an “Israeli-Palestinian”. Israeli first. Palestinian second. Sometimes it takes a shock like this to see so clearly.

"First, I must confess that over the last few years I have been gravely disappointed with the white moderate. I have almost reached the regrettable conclusion that the Negro's great stumbling block in the stride toward freedom is not the White Citizen's Council-er or the Ku Klux Klanner, but the white moderate who is more devoted to "order" than to justice; who prefers a negative peace which is the absence of tension to a positive peace which is the presence of justice; who constantly says "I agree with you in the goal you seek, but I can't agree with your methods of direct action;" who paternalistically feels he can set the timetable for another man's freedom; who lives by the myth of time and who constantly advises the Negro to wait until a "more convenient season." Shallow understanding from people of goodwill is more frustrating than absolute misunderstanding from people of ill will. Lukewarm acceptance is much more bewildering than outright rejection.” Martin Luther King Junior 16 April 1963

We should ask ourselves; why were people in Lebanon afraid of ISIS in 2014? What would have ISIS done? Violently attack LGBTQ persons? Go after comedians? Punish religious clerics who disagree with it? Take over banks and steal people's deposits? We're already here.

(Car trouble, parked by the side of the road) Two guys come and drop a bed mattress on the side of the road. 20 minutes later three guys come, strip down the mattress, throw the sponge and cloth and take the metallic springs. Lebanon is a fascinating place!

So, so far, #Israel has: - Killed dozens of innocent children and adults - Killed doctors - Destroyed hospitals - Destroyed media offices - Attacked ambulances - Destroyed the roads ambulances drive on to get to the injured - Blew up schools But it's the Palestinians' fault?

Israel just intentionally destroyed press offices in Gaza, giving only one hour's warning. Associated Press President "horrified that the Israeli military would target and destroy news organizations in Gaza." Imagine this was your home: apnews.com/article/israel…
