@anon_opin It felt like there was a point between the mid-nineties and early noughties when there was a reasonable balance between the price of physical media and live music. It still exists in pockets, but mostly these things are now run as cartels.

Buying music media used to cost quite a bit but gigs were cheap. Now it's flipped. Music is dirt cheap through subscriptions but gigs cost a fortune. I think it was better how it was before.
