My reason for not sacking Liam Rosenior right now is simple:
It would reset everything for the decision-makers at the club, especially the SDs, who have spent OVER A BILLION and still haven't managed to balance the squad in 3 years.
Unless they are held accountable, nothing changes.
The Maresca issue is a bit iffy, and his resignation/parting ways was bound to happen sooner rather than later. I have a piece ready on it, but do not want to publish it right now.
Anyway, back to the main point - sacking Rosenior gives the decision-makers more time and they do not deserve it one bit.

I don't want to make excuses for Rosenior cos it is his tweaks that have caused issues in the recent matches.
His start was decent - except the Arsenal games - but since then, he has tried to do too many things and way too quickly.
What a large section of Chelsea fans do not realize is that Maresca's 'boring football' was key to their controlling the game.
They wanted him sacked for a more attacking coach, and now there is no control cos players are thinking about their attacking roles, while failing to drop back in time.

@gamernatguy Need to watch the replay. I was reading the AFCON ruling after the game was paused.

Meanwhile, Morocco declared AFCON winners - 2 months after the final.

@GunnerGunnerSim @TikiTakaConnor It was bound to happen at some point for every top club. I feared it would happen vs Bayern for Chelsea when they lost 7-1 iirc

@falsewinger @TikiTakaConnor LMAO I was there when those were our days, it's nice to be able to say it now hahaha

@FotoNepal Nah, Sarr started as the RB for some reason. Chalobah was the CCB when Chelsea had possesion in the first few mins.
English

@falsewinger Chalobah started at RB at first. Moved to CB after that first goal. Manager is just not at this level. We can kiss CL football goodbye for few seasons now.
