unpopular opinion: football fans in India are way smarter than cricket fans.
English

@zoro2cold I respect everyone’s choices. Watch whatever sport you love. But when your own football is struggling, it’s worth asking whether constantly supporting everyone else while ignoring your own team is really helping the situation.🔥
English

Its about the quality of football people want to see rather than bums who cant even pass or cross
Ankit@QuarterColon
random South Korea vs Czechia 7.30AM kick off but yeah football is dead in India.
English

Honestly, I've seen far better cricket edits but the inferiority complex of us Indians...
AdityaRRaj@RR_for_LIFE
How we Cricket fans can match these edits man 😭😭
English

@zoro2cold Every football powerhouse supported its national team when it was struggling. If fans only watch when the team is already world-class, then how exactly do you expect the sport to grow?. as a cricket and football fan I don’t mind if India doesn’t win I still support India
English

@fill_join Would u rather spend 2hrs watching a quality match or would u watch a match where u know we support our own country by either losing or a draw ?.... have some sense, being patriotic is good but being chutiya isnt.... no changes in playing, the way we play is pathetic
English

@ReignofDhoni I’ve watched the FIFA World Cup. Amazing event. But let’s not pretend cricket is spending taxpayer money. The BCCI generates its own revenue through broadcasting, sponsorships, and leagues. If anything, cricket proved that an Indian sport can build world-class infrastructure
English

@EpicRohit45 If ICC ran football, at least Argentina and Portugal would actually get to play each other instead of waiting four years and praying the draw works out. Fans would love it.” 😏
English

@AAdarshbunny56 This is probably the only sport where Indians celebrate Europeans and South Americans more passionately than their own national team. I personally feel even FIFA doesn’t want India to qualify for World Cup.
English

India lo vunde states anta cricket nii choose chesukonte…
Kerala lo vunde peoples football ni choose chesukunnaru…
Ahh craze entraa babu 🔥🔥🔥#fifaworldcup2026
One india team kooda fifa world cup adali ani korukutunna…

@sehajdhillon_ Maturity is realizing a sport doesn’t need to be played everywhere to be globally relevant. Cricket fills stadiums across multiple continents, has billions of fans, and is now an Olympic sport.

@Slefless45 God is with us better, brother God is with us. We will get back the three pillars

🚨 ICC CRICKET WORLD CUP 2027 UPDATE 🚨 [Espn Cricinfo] - Starts on October 4. - Final on November 21. - SA likely to host atleast 41 matches. - ZIM likely to host 8 to 10 matches. - NAM likely to host 3 matches.
English

@Johnson59060340 @Merovaeous By that logic, Michael Jordan is bigger than most footballers. Does that make basketball bigger than football?”
English

@Merovaeous lol Christiano Ronaldo is a bigger star than Kohli and Tendulkar combined . You can’t compare FIFA to ICC man .
English

Football is the most overrated sport on the planet. Had cricket not been held back for decades by its colonial roots, elitist image, and limited global exposure, it would have challenged football's dominance long ago. Skill, strategy, and drama — cricket has it all.
Now, with T20 taking over and driving the sport's growth into new markets, it's only a matter of time before cricket begins closing the gap on football's global popularity. Maybe in 20–30 years. Maybe even earlier. Who knows? :::

English

@shanlyshan48690 @Merovaeous If weather decided sports, nobody would play football in the Middle East or ice hockey in warm countries. Infrastructure solves problems.”
English

@Merovaeous Cricket biggest problem is that it needs to play on a pitch where half the world are almost unplayable for Cricket due to weather
English

@Zoro0619r @IntrovertSaavni And yet cricket has half the fanbase of football while being played professionally in a fraction of the countries. That’s not a weakness—that’s one of the most concentrated and engaged fanbases in world sport.”
English

@Plan49969365Max @IntrovertSaavni Funny, because nobody said population alone makes India the best. The point is that population is potential, not success. Success comes from systems, infrastructure, coaching, and investment. That’s called logical reasoning.”
English

@IntrovertSaavni Desis think comparing numbers means everything. And because India has population, everything involving India would be the best. This is where they lack critical thinking and logical reasoning.
English

@sci_news_ @IntrovertSaavni By that logic, China should dominate every sport on Earth. Population helps, but systems, infrastructure, coaching, and investment matter far more. Also, India has Olympic medals in hockey, shooting, wrestling, boxing, badminton, athletics, and javelin—not just cricket.”
English

@IntrovertSaavni India has highest population.use your brain at least . South Asia has the highest population density .They don't have any other sport to look for .it's actually quite sad. That's why the Olympics performance is so poor. South Africa has good cricket , rugby and football presence.

@Soul_ka_fan @litandas258461 “I get that, but quality doesn’t appear overnight. Every football powerhouse supported its own players before they became world-class. If we only praise foreigners and insult our own, we’ll be stuck in the same place forever.
English

@fill_join @litandas258461 We respect quality
People don't glaze foreign players for no reason..
It's the quality that people appreciate...
Which we severely lack in indian football ..
We respect our jersey but not those bums out there who tarnish the reputation of India every time in an international cup
English

@venkymysoremama @pau40314 @BadtameezDog @ZyedSafwan13550 “I used to think that too. Then I realized cricket didn’t hold Indian sports back—it showed that an Indian sport can become a global success. The issue isn’t cricket’s success, it’s the lack of similar development in other sports
English

@fill_join @pau40314 @BadtameezDog @ZyedSafwan13550 I don't dislike cricket at all, but football shouldn't be compared with cricket just because india is a cricket nation... Due to the sole glazing of cricket other sports development are being hindered here
English

Cricket" fans living in their own dreams 😂

Phunsuk Wangdu@Phunsukwangduji
Football fans : We are excited for the World Cup Meanwhile the world cup :
English

@krishnamanoipss The biggest reason by India is never been qualified is not bureaucracy on not players. It’s the fans the football fans of India hate cricket in by some reason I like European football more than they wanted to adapt European football to India. Meanwhile, we left our roots.
English

Countries with less population than Guntur are also playing the World Cup ra pulka @/IndianFootball 😭😭😭
