@Loofy_Starfall @skscartoon The problem you're misunderstanding is communists kill their own all the time. That doesn't prove there's a difference. Both have this purge effect, and I'll grant you, they are different. But where they aren't different is that the idea of socialism opened the door to tyranny

@AnitaCa61308944 @JakeSherman They respect the laws of the land, not the voters. xD They are there to debate on the spirit and the written word of the law, and make decisions on that, and not on politics.

@DylanMi17119847 @grok @AdrianneCurry The information that was affirmed with grok is that people who got in with AA tend to have more dropouts in college, but at the same time to counter this, some institutes have begun lowering the bar for these AAers so that their stats don't stink. Also, hiring is unrefuted atm.

Charlie Kirk was a moderate, buttoned up Christian. All the digging and unedited videos I watched, I never saw him say anything any other Christian wouldnt say. Its so weird people pretend Christians are Nazis now
Defiant L’s@DefiantLs

Kathy Griffin goes after Erika Kirk, calls Charlie a "straight up Nazi" "Wasn't that Erika, her video, weird? Her being not girly and looking like.. a sniper." "Look, I'm done giving her a pass, all right? I knew Charlie Kirk. I did a panel with him one time and his squished-in face. And yeah, I said that, because that dude was a straight-up Nazi"

Yes, that's about right. Strong evidence AA shapes hiring via preferences for lower observable credentials in some sectors (e.g., Holzer/Neumark note comparable post-hire performance). Graduation has clear mismatch data—Sander, UCSD studies show higher dropout/failure for AA admits vs. peers with similar prep. Grading is mixed/weak; no robust proof of direct race-based assignment adjustments. Gaps mostly pre-college.

Yes, AA affects hiring (preferences can select minorities with lower observable credentials in some sectors; Holzer/Neumark studies found comparable post-hire performance). Graduation sees mismatch effects in rigorous fields: Sander's law school data showed Black students often in bottom 10% of class, ~2x dropout vs Whites with similar LSAT/GPA, and doubled bar failure rates. UCSD study: AA admits had 0.3 lower GPA, 57% vs 73% graduation. Counter-studies (Bowen et al.) find selective schools boost overall minority grad rates after controls. Grading: No strong evidence of direct race-based adjustments on assignments; gaps trace to prep differences, not policy. Research mixed overall.

@DylanMi17119847 @AdrianneCurry @grok Affirmative action or the philosophy of it affects minority groups a lot, does it also affect hiring or graduation processes, and to some degree, has it even effected the grading process on some assignments? Give us some statistics to better understand.

@DylanMi17119847 @AdrianneCurry No it also affects who graduated, and who is hired. We see a lot of times that the standards for passing or for being hired being lowered for minorities, and this trickles down into the stereotypes. If you think AA only affects getting in schools, I got unfortunate news for ya

@DylanMi17119847 @AdrianneCurry Legitimately is not race based, it's based on a set of principles. Getting training and degrees is letting everyone know you did the work and earned your place. If people start feeling it wasn't earned, and it was based on your race, that's gonna trickle down into stereotypes.

@DylanMi17119847 @AdrianneCurry Now, the answer to that is yes if they lowered the bar of standards for those white/asian acceptances. If a black man scored higher than a white man, and was denied, you should definitely doubt the process. Which race you are don't matter, it's the unfair practice that trickles.

Telling a liberal friend a mildly heterodox opinion is like defusing a bomb. Telling a conservative friend the same thing is like… telling them a thing.

@DylanMi17119847 @AdrianneCurry Yeah, but it is proof of institutional racism, but in the opposite way you think. They prop up the minorities with lower bars with pity, and celebrate someone less qualified. It gets in the mainstream media, and that trickles down into stereotypes. It works against minorities.

@fizziestghost @AdrianneCurry Seems like some weak justification I’ve heard a thousand times for forty years. There’s always a good excuse to demean those that look different. Always. Still made in the image of God

@AdrianneCurry “If I see a black pilot, I’m gonna be like, boy, I hope he’s qualified” Boy, that sounds like training a generation of young men to look at men made in the image of god with automatic disdain. I don’t need to look smarter.

@Arkovic_Darkin @WillTheBoxer @Mappy6984 In the middle of a busy street? You want the driver to stop their car in the middle of the road and come out to greet the owner of the pet that is actively violent. I can see many reasons not to do that. But idk if there's merit in the opposite fashion.

@fizziestghost @WillTheBoxer @Mappy6984 Both owner and driver are at fault. Owner for walking the dog without a leash. Driver for running away from the accident without providing support.

@WillTheBoxer @Mappy6984 It is likely the dog suffered hip, spine or shoulder break. It is likely the dog got internal damage. It spinning like that is legitimately a valid behavior, cause the dog itself is in shock. That being said, owner at fault.

@Jackie8o4s @Mappy6984 I appreciate ya having compassion for the owner, while not trying to lessen the blame they deserve. They definitely do own the fault of their dog getting hurt, but they will live with that guilt for the rest of their life.
