Nice to see Bob pulling out the guitar on this leg of the tour. It’s also amazing how much even the R&RW material has mutated since performances inMarch.
Bus was late, but I’ve made it to NYC! Going to drop off my bags, then go to Bibble & Sip for a lavender latte and cream puff for breakfast 😋 Then lunch in Little Italy and mochi donuts later today!! Yassss
@acidjacknyc@3lobed@DukeU@MVEEGoldenRoad Heard great things about this festival from friends who attended. Thanks for the opportunity to check out some of what I missed!
@Puffindor Have extra tickets to BGGCON Spring if you or anyone else needs 'em for free! :) Currently only planning for Geekway to the West and a local con in the Rockies. (SHUX too, depending on when it happens.)
My apartment is a complete wreck as I try to figure out what to put in boxes and store in my sister’s heated basement in Rochester for at least a few months until I move into someplace bigger someday 😳 wish it weren’t so hard for me to cull games 😭😭😭
@Puffindor My recent culling focus has been based on who in local game circles own the game. If several other people own it and I can easily borrow, there a better chance of it leaving my shelf.
I did it. And all by myself too. I’m going to be so freaking sore tomorrow 😩 not looking forward to unloading these by myself since my sister and her husband are out of town. After this hellish experience, I vow to immediately cull games that I only “like,” not “love.” 😬
@Puffindor Made the mistaking of backing Sweet Mess for a kids' holiday gift, funded April 2018 and will probably never be produced. (Or if it ever does get released those kids will already be in college.🤣🤣)
What’s the oldest game you backed on Kickstarter that you still haven’t received? Mine is Adventures in Neverland which funded in May 2020! For which, by the way, I had my lowest backer number ever—2 😺
@RepJasonCrow@UFCW_7 Just taking a little time to show up and voice support can have a huge impact. As soon as Jason left there was a visible morale boost for the workers heading back to stand firm along Mississippi and Chambers.
Today I stood with @UFCW_7 workers on the picket line.
Our frontline workers deserve more than a thanks — they deserve a living wage and fair labor practices by their employers.
I stand with them and every one who fights for a better, safer workplace.
These guys might have shown up to support, but we know who the real superheroes are: members of @UFCW_7 and other #essentialworkers risking it all to stand up for a better workplace.
@bourgwick@akronfamily I never had a chance to record or even see a lineup with Ryan, but still feel lucky to catch projects from Seth and Dana occasionally. (And RIP Miles, I sure do miss that guy!)
NP: @akronfamily london '05 tour CD. original quartet in battle mode. wook goofin' & fierce jams. knockout future myth > love & space. wish there were so many more recordings of this lineup. and all lineups, really.
@Puffindor@EagleGryphon@alleycatgames Based on our experience w/ this play, as well as early plays of Lisboa and On Mars, from now on I will probably teach/learn Vital games as a 2-player count. Much easier to understand the board engines and player interaction with just 2 actors affecting the board instead of 4.
ICYMI: I talk about my first play of Weather Machine by @EagleGryphon as a first time Lacerda-game player, and Tinners' Trail by @alleycatgames, among other games in the last Weekly Play/Back episode! youtu.be/5xPy5fIsqCc
@OMFGItsVico@Puffindor@vitallacerda@EagleGryphon There aren’t fiddly things like “executive actions”. (Though 1 action can still trigger bonus actions strung together) But I think the themes related to game actions is less strong than his other games, which makes the overall strategy harder to grok.
