Barrs welcomed more than 60 children of Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration employees to DOT Headquarters in celebration of Bring Our Kids to Work Day. As he greeted them to kick off the day, he spoke directly to the kids—not just about the job, but about the impact behind it. He helped them see that their parents aren’t just going to work each day—they’re helping protect families, prevent crashes, and keep communities safe across the country. It was a simple message, but one that stuck: what their moms and dads do matters—and it makes a real difference in people’s lives.
