RGB

RGB NFTs are different from Ordinals. Ordinals store data on-chain. RGB keeps NFTs mostly off-chain.

RGB can power: • stablecoins • NFTs • gaming assets • DeFi All on Bitcoin.

RGB prevents double spending by anchoring commitments into Bitcoin transactions.

When you receive RGB assets, You must verify the contract history. This is client-side validation.

RGB enables assets on Bitcoin. Examples: • tokens • NFTs • stablecoins • smart contracts All secured by Bitcoin.

RGB transactions do NOT publish contract data on-chain. Only a commitment is stored in Bitcoin. The real data stays off-chain.

In Ethereum: Everyone stores everything. In RGB: Only participants store the contract history. This is why RGB scales better.

The core idea of RGB: Client-side validation Instead of everyone verifying everything, Only participants verify the contract state.

RGB is not a blockchain. RGB is a protocol running on top of Bitcoin. Bitcoin provides the security. RGB provides the smart contracts.

Why does RGB exist? Bitcoin block space is scarce. If tokens lived fully on-chain, Bitcoin would become extremely expensive. RGB solves this by moving data off-chain.

What is RGB on Bitcoin? RGB is a smart contract system built on Bitcoin. But unlike Ethereum, it doesn’t store everything on the blockchain. Instead, it runs mostly off-chain. This makes it scalable and private.
