I’m so glad that I enjoyed every single second of the Klopp side. I wasn’t moaning about transfers or FSG, I just embraced it all and it had to come to an end at some point. Katie pointed out last night that we went the match expecting to win 5-0 but last night we were worried we would lose 5-0 😂 Only Virgil and Alisson remain with Joe Gomez now. End of an era. Loved it.

There's a reason some of us loved Darwin, despite his misgivings he would fight tooth and nail just to win a throw in, I don't see that in this side. There's a reason we used to sing that we dream of a team of Carraghers, we see ourselves in them, they play how we would.

We don’t mind who supports our club, as long as they align with our values. Love the club like we do and you’re seen as one of us. Forcing division over ex players opinions is mental. And for the record, if you can’t appreciate what @Carra23 done for LFC, you certainly don’t see the game like we do. Second most appearances ever, a number that will not be beaten. 11 trophies, including FA Cup and European Cup. From 2004-2007 the debate was Terry or Carra. For me personally he was one of the best CB’s the club’s ever had. If we were going to battle, I’d want Jamie next to me! Wore his heart on his sleeve and gave everything he had for that red shirt. He may not have sprayed 40yard passes, but the notion that he was average is complete nonsense. Concentrated on defending and put everything he had into it. A top fella who does all sorts for local charities and supports many local businesses. A hero to many of us, but you’d never know it if you bumped into him coz he’s as grounded as they come. We didn’t “dream of a team of Carraghers” for nothing you know!!

I stood on the Kop as a kid from the age of six right up until the day Jamie Carragher left the club, and let me tell you, he was definitely not average. With 737 appearances for the biggest club in England (Liverpol) in all competitions between (1996) and (2013) he ranks second on the club's all-time appearance list. He won 7 major trophies , 38 caps for England and was Liverpool through and through. Like it or not, Liverpudlians decide who our legends are, and Jamie Carragher is most definitely a LFC legend. Scouser!
Yazz LFC@YazzLFC

Why have so many LFC fans forgotten that Jamie Carragher was an average Centre back ... I remember seeing him chase shadows and score own goals. As a pundit he's worse.

Most of the analysis of Slot's character and his commitment to Liverpool consists of statements that are never explained. “He doesn't want to live in the City” because he did not uproot his teenage daughters during a critical time of their schooling. The reason Klopp and his wife had more Flexibility is that their kids are adults and have flown the nest. “He's cold”, despite people previously complaining that he's too open and too honest in press conferences. “He doesn't know how to handle tough events that impact the area”, yet he was largely praised for how he handled the passing of Diogo Jota and the fallout “The players dont like him” because he doesnt rate your favourite youth prospect or Harvey Elliott. People would then point to Salah's outburst as an example, yet it was Salah who apologised to Slot for the chaos he caused. Most people peddling the above have Jurgen Klopp abandonment issues. We loved the big German, and he gave us the best times, but people need to accept.... He is not coming back.

@VictoryOwai @TouchlineX Agreed. Very easy to say after the event they shouldn't have played him. I get that many said it before the game too but having the trust of your players is for the greater good of the team I would say.

I get what Jamie Carragher is saying, but it’s not that black and white. Fans want a trophy, of course, but how you get there matters too. If Kepa has been trusted all the way to the final, then suddenly dropping him at the biggest moment just feels wrong. It tells the squad that no matter what you do in the earlier rounds, you’re still second choice when it really counts. That doesn’t build a winning culture. Mikel Arteta has always talked about unity and trust in his squad. This is exactly where that gets tested. If Kepa performed and got you to the final, then he’s earned the right to start it simple as that.

🗣️🚨 Jamie Carragher: "Mikel Arteta does not owe Kepa ANYTHING. "If you ask Arsenal supporters the best possible chances for the FIRST trophy in six years, they have won 1 trophy in 9 years... "Yes, Kepa can play through the rounds, but once you get to the final it HAS TO chance. "He owes more to the supporters than he owes to Kepa."

@BenBocsak May be true but we're not hiring any manager who's focus will be the World Cup this Summer.

🇩🇪 I know a lot of fans want Xabi Alonso but in my opinion if Liverpool want to return to high-intensity football with aggressive pressing structures and want somebody with experience at the top level than Julian Nagelsmann is your man. He’s doing a good job with Germany, and he developed some of the best pressing teams at Hoffenheim, RB Leipzig and Bayern Munich in the Bundesliga. Jürgen Klopp seems to be a big fan of him as well. Always thought he was let go far too prematurely at Bayern. He won 71.4% of his games. Obviously, Alonso would be a solid choice, too. Just feel like Nagelsmann is better suited for a Klopp 2.0 style of play.

@NeilMac555 Colombia & Ecuador are interesting too. Ecuador in particular with their defensive record in qualifying & were 150/1 a few months ago. Brazil seem like an obvious lay, too.

Since 1962 just two Euro winners for tournaments held outside Europe. FYI I have a large position on Argentina, they have nice path to the final
BOTB@botbforum

@NeilMac555 World Cups outside Europe are usually won by a South American team, so who wins it?

Champions League is up for grabs for whatever team wants to go and win it but impossible to see us doing anything at all because we've been shite all season and it would even be a small surprise if we get past Galatasaray on Wednesday night given how toxic things now are.

Fans are completely disengaged with this team/style of football including myself. The only exciting part is Rio Ngumoha and he HAS TO START v Galatasaray. He gets the fans excited and he commits defenders relentlessly. Our most dangerous attacker at the minute.

Comparing any Liverpool manager to Klopp is a bit unfair because Klopp's footballing style and character and everything he stood for was the perfect fit for us and we may be another 20-30 years before finding a similar fit.
