Disappointed with @cathaypacific Business Class service on CX749/HKG-JNB/27Dec. Crew attention felt "uneven", seemingly centred on an "influencer" onboard (who preferred to video himself) while BASIC service to the rest of us was "inconsistent". My wife wasn't offered a drink at all. I was told no hot drinks due to the seatbelt sign (fair and excepted), yet other passengers were served tea. About 8 hours in I asked for a biscuit or any snack and got a mumbled "galley" response before the attendant walked off. I was told my preferred breakfast wasn't available (common enough) then my wife ordered the same item and was told it was available. For the price, this fell well WAY short of expectations and I walked away completely disappointed and borderline disgusted. Think twice before flying business on Cathay, unless you're some "influencer" or celebratory.
