When I worked for COOKPAD, I noticed that thereโs SO much sugar not only in Japanese sweets but also regular food. What they lack that their โWesternโ contemporaries have is an abundance of fats. So Japanese sweets are more sweet, Western sweets are more rich.

Itโs so funny when JP people say to me โdesserts here are not too sweet, unlike your country, right?โ And I start laughing because sweets and drinks are so sickly sweet here and I have a massive sweet tooth.

i have some ideas that i know would be much better executed if i knew how to use oils but the few times ive tried them its been so badโฆ and im really good with acrylics but they have their limitationsโฆ

being a self taught painter (tm) is cool and inspiring until uve only learned how to use acrylics and watercolor bc u didnt have the money or space for oil paint and u wanna try learning now but its kind of embarrassing bc u really should know considering ur age and skill lvl
