The journalism community is mourning a profound loss. Following the passing of Diana R. Fuentes, Investigative Reporters and Editors has appointed Lauren Grandestaff as interim executive director and Francisco Vara-Orta as interim deputy executive director. IRE will honor Fuentes with a Ring of Honor induction and a training fund in her name to support future journalists. Her legacy will continue to shape the field for years to come.
