The City of Portland has received inquiries about increased helicopters seen and heard south of downtown and in the inner southeast Brooklyn neighborhood.
The helicopters are not owned by City of Portland. The aircraft appear to be federally operated, and the noise generated is not a development the City or our local partners can control.

Having illegitimately attempted to federalize the Oregon National Guard and being blocked because there is no “invasion” or “rebellion” in Portland, Trump continues to try to incite riots and violence by deploying the California National Guard to Portland.
This is unacceptable. This is wrong. This is un-American.
This is authoritarianism, plain and simple.

This court ruling is a victory for rule of law.
There is no "rebellion" or "invasion" in PDX to justify federalizing Oregon's National Guard.
The president is not a king and Trump is shredding our Constitution.
So let's protest -- but joyfully and peacefully. Do not get drawn into Trump's cycle of violence. It’s his goal to cite violence to justify more authoritarian power. Let's not let him achieve it.
Let’s show that Portland is a strong community where neighbors take care of each other.

The two things Democrats really want:
*an ACA extension
*an end to Russ Vought and Trump deciding on their own whether to spend money appropriated by Congress.
If those 2 things were on the CR - neither of which have anything to do with illegal immigrants, I think every D would vote for it.
