So after watching the latest episode of Jay & Lngshot on ‘ Hiphopplaya’ and as one of the Jwalkerz & a Shottie that’s fine with their tour announcement, I urge everyone who haven’t seen it to watch the episode once it gets released with subs (it’ll probably be out in a week to 2 weeks?) for a better understanding as to why the boys are going with Jay on his tour cause they talk about it.
Don’t get me wrong, I get both sides from the unhappy Jwalkerz and the unhappy Shotties. And I get some Shotties just being genuinely concerned for the boys overworking and all but they’re in it for themselves. They’re doing it cause they like it and they knew they’ll be hustling when they signed up for Jay’s company. Also as a long time fan of Jay what Jay’s doing is nothing new his always been like this. He always did this with his khh artists. It’s interesting how the kpop stans are thrown off by the ways Jay and the boys are moving & doing things but it’s understandable since it’s unusual from your typical kpop ways. But Lngshot is not your typical kpop group right? They said that from the start.
My understanding as to why they’re going on this tour was that
1. Jay is trying to teach & let the boys experience many things while they’re still together & they’re still rookies for the last time cause Jay will be taking a long break ( he never had one) after this and timing wise, it’s now or never cause once they get bigger and famous in the future they can’t do it then.
2. The boys are actually not focused on the fans rn per se. They’re focused on their artistic growth. They know they’ll gather more fans in the future so as of right now they’re just working & hustling for themselves & their music.
3. For the love of god, the boys are NOT prioritizing on the awards or the ROTY. It’s their wish but that’s not their priority. There is a difference. Some of these shotties are either mixing that up or thinking that is the boys priority but it’s not. It’s YOURS.
The boys are not your typical kpop group, they’re more than that. They’re trying to be real artists so I’m hoping people can see that and support their ways even if you don’t like it or understand it.
