🇵🇸🇮🇱 Doctors Without Borders says Israel is actively blocking water supply into Gaza. Over 2M people have no access to safe water, and disease outbreaks are already spreading. Israeli officials have rejected similar Doctors Without Borders claims in the past, stating Gaza receives water "above humanitarian minimums" and that restrictions are for security reasons. Above humanitarian minimums... I don't know about you, but that phrasing turns my stomach. Source: Al Jazeera

The Greek government is moving forward with plans to end anonymity on social media platforms. Digital Governance Minister Dimitris Papastergiou has described the measure as essential to combat rising toxicity, hate speech, coordinated harassment campaigns, and the spread of fake news. He argues that anonymous accounts allow people to attack others or spread lies without facing any real consequences. The proposal has been under discussion for months and is now being managed directly from Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis’ office. Deputy Prime Minister Pavlos Marinakis has clarified that users will still be able to use pseudonyms, but every account will need to be linked to a verifiable real identity through checks carried out by the platforms themselves. The whole EU is pushing this sh*t

The EU is pressing hard member states to roll out a new age-verification app as quickly as possible, targeting the end of this year They say the app works in a simple, privacy-focused way: >Users download it once >scan their passport or national ID to confirm their age >receive an anonymous digital credential. >This credential proves to websites or apps that the user meets a required age Several nations, including France, Italy, Spain and others, are already testing the system. Considering the app demo got hacked in under 2 minutes with a mobile phone, these are terrible news, I can see a massive data breach of personal info
