What are your writing rituals? Are they the same for every book, or do you tailor them to your individual project? Doing a bit of research for a blog. Thanks!

@DebbiesStories I have four degrees in history, so I know my history, lol. That is probably why I can't read historical. And as for what works and doesn't, I just follow the same guidelines as regular fiction. Mine is just set two hundred years ago.

How many editor/writers are on here? For those of you with stakes in both, do you hire another person to edit your work? Or do you do it yourself? I myself am great at editing others, but shite at editing myself. I get manuscript blind.

@kr_wieland You can generally call people to come get skunks--Like, nice people. Not thrown them in a cage people. I've done this in San Diego. My dogs have advanced degrees in the methodology of getting themselves sprayed by skunks.

Viewing from our back window…any advice on getting rid of this creature safely?

@elchandler I do, yes. I like both high fantasy and urban fantasy.

@elchandler Agreed. And in Maui it's a totally different vibe than in San Diego.
