If you've never went out on your own sword and shield as a man; you'll always be a child. Doesn't matter if you're age 15 or 50. The journey into high level conquests is what makes you a man worth listening to, associating with and respecting. Otherwise your words are empty because they are void of experience, challenge and empiricism; they are merely conceptualisations of effective action rather than proven methods of effective action created by the beauty of your own blood, sweat, pain, sacrifice, doubt and tears. Skin in the game is the ultimate equaliser for a man because his courage is the prerequisite for wisdom. The process purifies you as a man because in order to genuinely become successful or excellent at something, you learn all the skills that encapsulate masculinity. Robustness, dealing with conflict, communicating effectively, strategising against obstacles, pain tolerance/stress tolerance, work ethic, planning, stress management, self management etc. Men that have never truly thrown themselves at something monumentally hard in scope are always adolescent. No matter how hard they try to be men or no matter how hard they try to supplement the lack of internal work they have done with external achievement. You cannot cheat psychological development. Men that are precocious are always those who have had to deal with higher level abstractions and issues at a younger age. Usually just setting higher goals is enough to force development. Body of work is the ultimate equaliser because its literally an objective marker to measure all men against as its the sum of their drive, thoughts, influences, experiences, will to win and suffering overcame.
