Based on the Series ATLA, FireLord Azulon was the father of Iroh & Ozai. Iroh became a General and his goal was to conquer Ba Sing Se in the name of the FireLord. General Iroh had a son who was also in the Army. So while in a bid to conquer the first wall(the Lower ring of Ba Sing Se) Iroh's son was unalived in battle. This was what butchered Iroh's fighting spirit. He retreated & buried his son and mourned him. General Iroh was supposed to be the next FireLord, so There was a scene where Ozai made the debate with their father Fire Lord Azulon concerning Iroh for the place of the FireLord. Ozai's argument was that his father should make him the next heir to the Throne seeing that Iroh's son had died in the war. FireLord AZULON was furious against Ozai that how could he be this callous against his own brother, then the FireLord demanded that Zuko must be unalived so that Ozai can know what it's like to lose a son. Ozai already despised Zuko since birth because he believed that his wife cheated on him, because he married her by force against her will and took her from her first love.. so when Zuko was born, he was never pleased with Zuko. When Azula was born, Ozai said; "Azula was born lucky, but Zuko was lucky to be born". Whenever Zuko felt despised by his father Ozai, his mother will always comfort him. She so much loved Zuko and Azula. So when FireLord Azulon passed his verdict on Ozai, demanding that his son be unalived, as dark as Ozai's heart was, he never bothered. But zuko's mum overheard the verdict and sworn to do whatever it takes to protect Zuko. She decided to be banished so that Zuko can live. And before she left finally, she went to Zuko room at night and said; "I have always loved you Zuko. No matter what happens always remember who you are". Then she left to the fire nation for Good. ALTHOUGH, Zuko and Azula went in search of their mum after the War ended. Azula was in need of answers as to why her mother never loved her. Zuko was in need of Bringing his mum back to the Firenation. The end...
