14歳で二代目ジャイアンに選ばれた木村。 初代ジャイアンを務めたたてかべは、 オーディション前から 「二代目が決まったら、 一緒に酒を飲みたい」 と話していたという。 しかし木村に決まると 「中学生か〜！」と苦笑い。 お酒は飲めないからと、 代わりに食事へ連れて行ってくれた。 たてかべは木村を息子のように 可愛がり、誕生日には 「20歳まであと何年だ。待ち遠しいぞ」 と毎年欠かさず連絡をくれていた。 そして迎えた20歳の誕生日。 ついに約束が果たせると、 胸を躍らせて 店へ向かった木村だったが、その日、 たてかべには医師から 「お酒は飲んではいけない」と ドクターストップがかかっていた。 長年待たせてしまった 申し訳なさでいっぱいになる木村。 しかしたてかべは、 「今日は特別に、 俺も飲んじゃおうかな」 と、にこっと笑ったという。 その瞬間、二人の 長年の約束はようやく叶った。 80歳でこの世を去ったたてかべは、 別れ際に 「あとのことは任せた。 思いっきりやってくれ」 と優しく言葉を残した。 その思いを胸に、木村は後日、 「あとのことは、 この俺様に任せてください」 とジャイアン口調で投稿し 「また一緒に酒、飲んでください」 と締めくくったのだった。

死にません。 死にません。 死にません。 大丈夫です。 病名を聞いた時に絶叫してしまったのは事実です。 『多発性骨髄腫』 私の亡夫・加賀八郎と同じ病名だったからです。 血液のがんの一種です。 でも、大きく違うのは、太郎さんは早期発見である事。夫(当時52歳)はかなり進行した状態でした。そして、夫が亡くなった2013年から13年経ち、多発性骨髄腫の新薬も続々と生まれています。昔は「完治しない病」と言われていましたが、今では「寛解されて元気にお仕事をしながら過ごしている方」もたくさんいらっしゃいます。 例えば、俳優の佐野史郎さん。数年前に罹患を発表されましたが、今はお元気で朝ドラ「ばけばけ」にもご出演されています。 また、写真家の幡野広志さんも、2016年頃だったと思いますが、余命3年と言われながら治療が功を奏して、今でもお元気で活躍されています。 早期発見ならば、いろんな治療法があります。最近では寛解、ほぼ完治、という方もかなり増えてきています。 とにかく今は治療に専念されてください。 どうかどうか、お大事に。 私は、最近、「多発性骨髄腫患者の会」の会報でお仕事させていただき、最新の治療現場の事を読みましたので、そんなに心配していません。 しっかり寛解された後に、また戻ってきてください。 その間、『れいわ新選組』をしっかり支えたいと思います。 池沢理美
