I see people asking all the time - “how does Michelle Wu win elections when it seems like the majority of people don’t like her or say that they’re against her policies?” There’s lots of people who like to say it’s because “the elections are rigged” - they’re not. Not in Boston anyway - they don’t have to be.
She wins because nobody shows up to vote.
673,000 people live in Boston
438,000 Boston residents are registered to vote
95,000 Boston voters cast a ballot in this election
78,000 of those voters voted for Michelle Wu
Michelle Wu was the only option on the ballot.
Soooo…..
82% of the people who cast a ballot voted for her
18% of registered voters in Boston voted for her
12% of the people who live in Boston voted for her.
So think of it like this:
Out of every 100 people that live in Boston, only 14 people actually show up to vote, and 12 of those 14 vote for Wu…and you can probably guarantee that 10 of those 12 people are not from Boston and/or they work for Wu.
And another way to look at it:
343,000 Boston residents are registered to vote but they don’t show up
Only 95,000 actually show up.
People love to complain online but showing up to vote 2 days a year is too much work for them. Not showing up is the same as casting a vote for the bad guy.

A kid just graduated from a mid-tier state school with a 3.7 GPA in CS and $94,000 in student loans
Applied to 1,247 entry-level positions since March
Got exactly 4 phone screens. Zero technical rounds. Zero offers.
His algorithm professor keeps posting LinkedIn updates about "exciting opportunities in AI" while this kid gets auto-rejected by bots that scan for 3+ years experience on "junior" roles
Roommate who majored in marketing got hired at $67K. Kid with the CS degree is making $16/hour at Target
His parents keep asking when he's going to "use his computer degree"
The fucking guidance counselor told his high school class that software engineering was "recession-proof"
Applied to a fintech startup last week. Hiring manager told him straight up: "We don't train juniors anymore. Our senior devs with Copilot move faster than a team of 6 entry-level engineers used to"
His debt accrues $347 every month while he stocks shelves and watches his dreams die
The career center still sends emails about "high-demand tech careers" to kids whose futures got automated out from under them before they even graduated
Four years of data structures and algorithms to compete with Claude for $45K contract work
He's 22 years old and already knows his degree is worthless
The American dream just got compiled into bytecode and executed by a machine that doesn't need health insurance

🚨SHOCKING: Why Won’t The Pentagon Tell Us WHO Was On Pete Hegseth’s SAM Jet When It Flew Directly Over The Exploding AES plant On Oct 10— And Was Over Fort Huachuca Sept 8-9?! ✈️🤔
The SAME U.S. military VIP jet (99-0404 / SAM callsign) that Pete Hegseth has been documented flying on repeatedly…
→ Flew directly over Fort Huachuca on September 8th & 9th, 2025 → Then flew directly over the AES explosives plant in Tennessee on October 10th — the exact day it exploded, killing 16 workers while flames were still burning.
Who was on that plane?
Why was a Secretary of Defense-linked aircraft circling these exact locations on those exact dates?
We know Hegseth was using SAM/VIP transports for official travel. Flight radar is public. The tracks don’t lie.
So why is the Pentagon, the media, and every “fact-checker” completely silent on who was actually aboard?
This isn’t a conspiracy theory — it’s a flight path.
We deserve transparency.

This is illegal
Companies cannot hire H-1Bs, etc when there are Americans who can do the job. Tend if thousands of Americans being laid off means there are Americans who can do the job. Hiring foreigners is this illegal
The (largely Indian) management team must be prosecuted to the full extent of the law and the full fines available (over $300k per individual) for H-1B fraud levied on the company

Total chaos in Dubai once again.
This time, a 25 year old female flight attendant from England has been arrested.
She was afraid to fly to Dubai because of the explosions.
But her airline assured her the situation was not too dangerous.
She believed Dubai was downplaying the destruction.
So she took a photo of the heavily damaged airport to show her airline that her safety was at risk.
She warned her colleagues not to visit Dubai on WhatsApp.
Now she has been arrested.
2–5 years in prison.

I am the Director of Professional Signal Intelligence at LinkedIn.
Every time you log in, we search your computer.
Not metaphorically.
We run code that scans your installed software.
Every browser extension.
Every application.
We catalog it.
We transmit it to our servers.
We share it with a third-party cybersecurity firm you've never heard of.
The tracking pixel is zero pixels wide.
We hid it off-screen.
You never consented.
We never asked.
Our privacy policy doesn't mention it.
That's networking.
We call the program Project Handshake internally.
The Slack channel is handshake-telem.
In 2024 we scanned for 461 products.
By February this year we scan for over 6,000.
I don't know what all of them are.
Nobody does.
Someone on my team added categories for browser extensions that identify practicing Muslims.
Someone added extensions for neurodivergent users.
Someone added 509 job search tools.
That last one is my favorite.
We can tell which of our one billion users are secretly looking for new jobs.
On the platform where their current boss checks their profile.
That's networking.
We scan for 200 products that compete with LinkedIn's sales tools.
Apollo. Lusha. ZoomInfo.
We know each user's real name, employer, and job title.
We mapped exactly which companies use which competitor products.
We extracted their customer lists from their users' browsers.
Without anyone knowing.
Then we sent legal threats to the users we caught.
The EU told us to open our platform to third-party tools.
We published two restricted APIs.
They handle 0.07 calls per second.
Our internal API, Voyager, handles 163,000 calls per second.
In Microsoft's 249-page compliance report, the word "Voyager" appears zero times.
That's networking.
I presented our Software Disclosure Rate metrics at a leadership summit last quarter.
The conference room is called The Fishbowl.
Glass walls.
Appropriate.
There's a plaque on the wall.
Q3 Competitive Landscape Award.
I won it for the extension scanning initiative.
Someone asked if users had a way to opt out.
I said they can close their browser.
The room laughed.
I wasn't sure why.
I browse LinkedIn on a Chromebook with no extensions.
Most of the team does.
The platform that helps you get hired searches your computer every time you visit.
We know your name.
We know your employer.
We know your religion.
Your disabilities.
Your politics.
Whether you're looking to leave.
That's networking.
The system works exactly as designed.
I designed it.

WOW. So Spencer drops this scathing article on how/why LA is losing Baywatch (and all production) and then all of a sudden, transpo dept slashes fees in a desperate bid to keep Baywatch? Dude ain’t even in office and he’s already getting more shit done than Karen Basura

Spencer Pratt@spencerpratt
If we can’t even film Baywatch in LA anymore, the golden goose needs CPR. Hollywood is collapsing, but it’s not wokeness, it’s not bad filmmaking…it’s bad policies and bad politicians. We can fix it. My new PrattStack: open.substack.com/pub/spencerpra… @Substack

Update:
Gov. Newsom’s office has picked Edelman, one of the world’s biggest PR firms, to manage the $19 million taxpayer funded ad campaign to make California look good nationally.

@LimitlesCobz Yep. The more we allow this. The cheaper murder for hire will get. Maybe to the point that you could pay Costco prices to get rid of HOA Karen by memorial day.

🚨 THIS IS MASSIVE AND NO ONE IS COVERING IT.
Former Navy SEALs and Special Forces operators were running a murder-for-hire program out of a $7,000,000 San Diego mansion.
$1,500,000 per month. $40,000 per operator. Bonuses per kill.
A lawsuit was just UNSEALED in federal court. Here's what nobody is telling you:
💀 The company was called Spear Operations Group. Incorporated in Delaware. Run by a former commando out of San Diego.
💀 Their client was the UAE government. 23 targets. Multiple confirmed kills.
💀 The team flew chartered jets from New Jersey to carry out assassinations overseas.
💀 They brought body armor, explosives, booby-trapped vehicles, and whiskey.
💀 Drone footage was used for pre-hit reconnaissance and to document the strikes.
💀 The founder admitted everything on record: "There was a targeted assassination program. I was running it. We did it."
⚠️ The US State Department never authorized this. It is illegal under federal law.
⚠️ The operators tried to incorporate into the UAE military as legal cover. It failed.
⚠️ Despite all this, ZERO operators have gone to prison. The lawsuit is from the VICTIM.
Do you understand the scale of what's happening?
⚠️ These operators were trained at US taxpayer expense. They then SOLD that training to a foreign government as a marketing pitch for assassination contracts.
⚠️ The target who survived has been living in exile for 10 years. He missed his daughter's graduation. He missed his sister's funeral.
⚠️ The founder's whereabouts? Currently unclear. The operators? Marketing themselves on LinkedIn as "tactical consultants."
They're showing you "private security firms protecting US interests."
They're NOT showing you that former US special operators are selling assassination services to foreign governments from American soil with near-zero legal consequence.
Here's the logic chain:
→ US trains elite operators at massive cost
→ Operators go private
→ Foreign governments buy their services
→ Operators use US legal cover while executing foreign government hit lists
→ Victims have no recourse except a lawsuit a decade later
→ The system that trained them takes no responsibility
If this program was illegal, why has no one been prosecuted?
If the State Department "never authorized" this, why haven't the operators been charged?
Complete silence.
This is not a rogue contractor story. This is an accountability crisis — the moment America lost control of the weapons it built.

I am the VP of Workforce Economics at Oracle. We are worth $420 billion.
On Tuesday, we sent 30,000 employees a termination email at 6 AM.
Not 9. Not business hours. Six in the morning. They woke up to the word "eliminated."
The email came from "Oracle Leadership." Not a manager. Not a name. Oracle Leadership.
It said: "We are grateful for your dedication, hard work, and the impact you have made."
By the time they read the word "grateful," their access to email, files, and Slack had already been revoked. The gratitude was the last Oracle communication they received.
We did not eliminate the roles. We eliminated the salaries.
In the same fiscal year, we filed 3,126 H-1B petitions to hire foreign workers. 436 this year alone. The roles are identical. The pay is not.
An H-1B software engineer earns $87,000. The domestic median for the same work is $106,000. Eighty-three percent of H-1B workers are classified at entry-level wages for senior positions.
The industry calls this a skills gap. It is a pay cut that requires a passport.
The visa is tied to the employer. If the worker leaves, they lose their legal right to remain in the country. If they negotiate, they risk the same. If they organize, the sponsor declines to renew.
That is retention.
Our revenue this quarter is $17.2 billion. Up 22%. Net income up 95%. We have $553 billion in committed future contracts. Up 325%.
These are not the numbers of a company that needs to lay anyone off.
We took a $2.1 billion restructuring charge. That is the cost of the gratitude. It frees up $8 to $10 billion in annual cash flow. That cash services $156 billion in AI data centers we are building. Starting 2028, OpenAI pays us $82 million per day.
Larry Ellison is worth $189 billion. He pledged $51 billion in Oracle shares as collateral for the Stargate AI venture. Announced at the White House.
The stock rose 4% on Tuesday. The day of the 6 AM emails. Wall Street did not see 30,000 people. They saw the margin.
Amazon laid off 30,000 since October. Filed thousands of H-1B petitions in the same window. This is not one company. This is the operating model.
Fire the salary. Keep the role. Fill it with someone whose legal right to remain in the country depends on your continued sponsorship. Pay them less. They will not complain. They cannot.
One employee's father worked at Oracle for 20 years. No phone call. No meeting. An email at 6 AM and a locked laptop.
The role is still open.
The people we fired are free. The people we hired are not.
