so you want them to take notice of the idiot racists and not bring back steve who is an important character to the story and you think that'll stop those people from people the dumb mind fucked idiotic racists that they are? best way to avoid those people is just by blocking em.

My biggest issue with this is that Steve/C Evans could literally say “I’m not Captain America” until he’s blue in the face but that doesn’t take away from the fact that Steve coming back opens a space for racist people who would never accept Sam as Cap to shit on Sam and say awful things. We had to deal with 3 years of people saying Bucky would’ve been a better fit for Cap before TFATWS came out. Then on top of that, someone John Walker came out of that show with fans saying he would make a better Cap. There will always be people who will never accept a black Captain America but bringing Steve back just makes them worse and lets them be louder. It doesn’t matter what Steve says or what Evans says. They won’t listen
