@images_i_hate2 I wouldn't say he was just "given" it. He's a trained pro-bender which emphasised quick and fluid earthbending, exactly the type best suited to bend lava. He also practiced metalbending but failed, since it just didn't suit him. He's no Toph, but I think he earned his ability.

@BDEgameowners This is untrue I've seen many control mirror matches and they love it when all they do is counter eachother's spells. They're one Negate away from kissing at a certain point.

most male writers will always have an easier time drawing more complex and intimate relationships between "straight" men, and leave women to the side as the prize

@altades_art I always attributed his apparent muscularity to his very high Constitution, although that doesn't make too much sense either. Fjord has more Strength than the average person so his appearance sorta makes sense. He was a deckhand on a ship so it'd make sense for him to be strong.
