@cityofmarkham Thanks for the reply. Are there any signs that indicate the washrooms are out of service? If not, can they be added? So many people tried to open the doors and most with children. It would save everyone a lot of trouble.

@janeccman Good morning - apologies for the delayed response. Please be advised that the washroom at Cornell Community Park is not yet open due to warranty issues which are in the process of being resolved with the General Contractor.

@cityofmarkham Hi there, was at Cornell Community Park today and the washroom doors were all locked. Many families tried to access, as expected it was busy at the playground on a beautiful long weekend Sunday. Were the facilities locked because of the holiday or other reasons?

I almost didn't write it in fact. I've started and trashed this story many times.
But I believe there are important lessons in this story we can learn from.

@TheDanLevy In-store shopping makes no sense anymore. I like being able to visit multiple stores, feel the goods and maybe try on before buying. I don't want more deliveries and boxes. But there are many advantages through online shopping, including sales that aren't reflected in stores.

And why does the brand get to put branding on their disposable bag that they're charging me for the privilege of using to take home the sweaters I also had to buy from them?

I just bought 3 sweaters & then was asked if I wanted to buy a paper bag. That’s ridiculous. What the heck else was I supposed to do with my sweaters?

@TheDanLevy Yes. Yes, it is. I've actually read about a lot of parents siding with CUPE and taking their kids out of virtual learning. They want schools to take place in-person, but all staff who are part of a school system need to be valued and paid good living wages.
