It's quite funny how sometimes we buy a book, read it in two days, and other times we buy a book and it sits on our shelf for 5 years

gay black love is radical. there’s nothing like it. our existence alone pushes against patriarchal colonial systems. so when people say things like “it’s against our religion” or “they’re trying to emasculate black men,” the irony is, those religions and ideas of black masculinity were handed down through the same systems that oppressed us. identities shaped by violence, crack pipes, and evangelical capitalism. my identity goes against everything they have tried to make us. i am the true black man. and you? you’re just a puppet friend.
