Today marks one year since I was arrested outside of the courthouse after 13 days of protesting over the assault of Dalia Kafi by Calgary Police officer Alex Dunn. Alex is still employed. Dalia has since passed. And I have a 5-day trial for 7 charges.

Just a reminder that in order to enlist, statue Indians had to become enfranchised, giving up their status. This means that when they returned home, they weren’t allowed to move back to their reserve and lost any rights they had as a status Indian.
