AOC has no idea what she's talking about. When spanish settlers arrived in Mexico in the 16th century, they brought cattle and horses with them. They introduced the 'open range' style of ranching and created the working saddle, spurs, and the use of the rope.

The first European language spoken in the USA was Spanish. The oldest city in the current USA was founded by the Spaniards. And most of the US territory belonged to Spain at some point. Hispanics are also true heritage Americans.

30 million euros to potentially cure pancreatic cancer.
The US spent nearly $30 billion on pancreatic cancer care in 2020. Most of it managing a disease with a 5-year survival rate under 10%.
That's 0.1% of what we spend managing this disease annually. This is where resources should go, toward breakthroughs.
This is the kind of research I'll always stand behind. Not managing disease. Curing it.
