One of the biggest problems in education isn’t academic—it’s cultural. Students don’t respect teachers—not because they’re bad kids, but because they’ve grown up watching adults in power disrespect the profession. Society, media, and politicians have blamed educators for every problem in the world, and kids absorb that. They’re just echoing what they hear. You can’t expect students to value teachers when the adults in power clearly don’t.

Teacher retention: if you want to keep the best teachers, treat them like they are the best. Few teachers leave an environment where they feel valued, supported, appreciated, and treated like professionals. This is more important now than ever!

Take care of teachers.

The U.S. ranks #1 among high-performing education systems—for how poorly it treats teachers. Low pay that doesn't keep up with inflation, crushing student debt, and only in the U.S. do teachers need a second or third job just to survive. @elonmusk @realDonaldTrump @usedgov

A leader will remove something from your plate before adding more. An administrator will just get you a bigger plate.

For education to be "all about the students," we need to: Increase Recess, The Arts, & socialization Focus on holistic growth, not just standardized tests Give students a voice in their learning Focus on strengths to build success Take care of teachers, a key to students’ success
