So now in the streaming age, if you subscribe to AppleTV+ in say, Roseville, MN, you get the Loons, no other MLS teams. Duh It’s such a miss.

Said it then, saying it now - I don’t know what Apple paid for the rights, but whatever the short term gain was for MLS came at the expense of long-term fanbase retention / growth.

@texaszeller No American sports radio brain kinda solutions for “playoff soccer”. Just seems like it’s a 2 game aggregate with extra time/PK’s in game 2, or a winner take all game with the same ending scenarios. The world already got it right. As much normal soccer as possible feels best.

@texaszeller question for the next pod: does best of 3 with PK’s in play for all 3 compete with “run up PK’s” as the most dumbass american things we’ve tried with this sport? 2 game aggregate goals is like 10 times superior to this format…am I high? (I might be anyway)

@texaszeller The highlights whenever shown in historical footage are actually super rad. I’m always like “had I known?!”. I mean, and we were ALL wearing baggy shorts back then too…
But yeah, that game tonight deserved more than PK’s, but I don’t have the solution. 🤷🏻♂️

In Florida we will be voting on Amendment 4 this November that would take all limits off the timing of an abortion. If it passes we would become the 10th state where that type of late term abortion would be legal. Please don’t distort the facts to make a point.
