The dems lose, blame them, and their capitalist liberal plans still basically get executed through a right wing executive anyways. Why respect them when they don't care?

@blucomazz @rowanfornow I don't get it, do centrist libs in the party need to listen to left libs or not, do they lose because they don't earn their votes? Because if they do, then why don't they ever bother trying to earn them? Maybe they are fine losing in ways that they prefer.

@jguy2012 @rowanfornow Liberals don’t need to do this arithmetic because there are more liberals than leftists. Liberals are the core of the Democratic coalition so the Democratic Party winning is already what we want. If the party loses, it’s because the smaller factions of the party broke off.

the ultimate reason for this comes from all leftists realizing (unconsciously, usually) that meaningful change, to say nothing of revolution, is simply not happening and that capital has never been more ascendant and victorious. also the Soviet hangover that never ended.

For all the valid critique of No Kings (and it should be deeply criticized for its reactionary reformism to demobilize and deradicalize), the revolutionary Left needs to deal with the fact that, somehow, we're still being out organized by these people. That's Our Failure.

Hot take: a big part of the disconnect between liberals and leftists regarding No Kings is that a lot of leftists just don't really care about democracy that much. Election integrity doesn't feel like a "real issue" to them because their ideal leader doesn't have to be elected.

@rowanfornow I can respect the ones that have people demand specific actions with their local politics, but it's pretty disheartening seeing all this money and organization go towards getting the voter pool to shift based on centrist lib grounds and headhunting new lawyers to be politicians
