I’ve never felt Larry Doby gets enough credit for integrating the American League less than three months after Jackie Robinson debuted for the Dodgers. Today while we honor Jackie, let’s also take some time to remember Larry Doby and his huge contribution to the game.

The Dodgers mourn the loss of Davey Lopes, who passed away today at age 80. Lopes was a member of the team’s record-setting infield of the 1970s and 1980s and one of the finest basestealers in MLB history. Our condolences go out to his family and friends.

@ShaneRyanHere More of an early to mid 1980s thing I believe, but I'd have to go back and look at my files. For sure it happened in '86 because Norman was 54-hole leader at 6-under and he was paired with Nick Price, who was first to post 5-under after his record 63.
