"Only using AI as a tool" is such an insidiously vague phrase that you should never let any company get away with using it as an excuse.

I don't want to comment too much on this whole "Epic using AI in the process of making skins" thing because I have enough things to be depressed about, but anyone who says that it's ok because "AI is only being used as a tool" is naive at best and a total idiot at worst.

1/4 The over reliance of thieving GenAi is so deeply unnecessary. The iterations shown could be a few hours of work. Rendering, if starting from blender, is fast too. All this work could EASILY be done without relying on models that steal from artists.

This can be said about 99% of big Fortnite content creators and leakers. They all bow down to Epic because they know if they say the wrong thing they lose the Epic partnership its sad they put that above their morals.
