@mrjakehumphrey But another reminder to Red Bull again that their employees have a responsibility to behave in an appropriate way as a voice of influence over impressionable people who, sad as it seems to most people, take their cues on how to think and behave from them.

Anyone aggressively/abusively messaging a 19 year old kid because of a motor race is an embarrassment. It’s honestly not that important. It’s also a sad insight into the mess some people’s lives are in and how angry some people are with their lives. Sad. And sadly not rare…

Weird untrue narrative being spun by @SkySportsF1 host that the #QatarGP result was because #McLaren were “too fair”, despite both drivers, the team principle, Verstappen & even the excellent Brundle & Chadwick saying it had nothing to do with it. Poor F1 journalism from Lazenby.

Year after year, we see the first sequence of corners cause issues in Mexico…. If they tweaked it to be a bit like the opening few corners in Bahrain, it would be less of an issue. (Sorry for the crap drawing but you get the gist!)

@AdamMcKola We’re the team of Best, Copell, Sharpe, Kanchelskis, Giggs, Beckham, Ronaldo. Young talented wingers are our DNA, the foundation of ALL our success. Seeing Garnacho, Sancho, Rashford, Antony exit because managers can’t handle talent is tragic, such a waste. You shouldn’t gloat.

@AdamMcKola Unless he drops 3-4-3 or 5-2-2-1 or whatever nonsense he’s trying to do, stops picking full backs as wide midfielder and drops Fernandes who is now utterly embarrassing as a Utd captain, then yes, this situation can’t go on. It’s awful and not how United should be playing.

I think the MUFC team today against City is eleven different nationalities. Is this the first time this has happened with United?

After years of excellent #F1 commentary for @SkySportsF1, it was awful from @CroftyF1 today. Felt like he didn’t have a grasp on Q3 & pole scenarios at all as it unfolded. No mention in real time of the historical significance of @Max33Verstappen’s record breaking lap. Very poor.

@ragnf1 I’m no fan of Verstappen but 4 world championships vs. none is a significant upgrade, especially when you consider that Verstappen is outperforming teammates by a mile & so clearly out performing the base level of what that car is capable of. Compared to Russell, he’s way ahead.

I don’t think Max Verstappen is a significant upgrade over George Russell at Mercedes. George is already driving the car to its limit and there isn’t much Max or anyone else can do. Teams would have more success if they paid better for top engineering talent instead.

@DonnyVerstappen Senna (1991), Schumacher (1994) and Hamilton (2008) won titles without the faster car throughout a season. Verstappen has always had the fastest car on average over the course of a season, when winning. So I think it’s: 1. Schumacher 2. Senna 3. Hamilton Big gap 4. Verstappen

@henrywinter What credit does Tuchel have in the bank? He should be trying to prove himself with positive moves & creative thinking. That was an appalling display. Poor tactics & team selection, lacklustre in every way. Yet another manager who is wasting the abundance of talent we have.

World Cup starts a year on Wednesday. You look at Spain and France and the core of their sides - and identities - are established. How ready are England? Not very ready on this #ANDENG evidence. 1-0 to the England. Very, very disappointing. Boos at half-time, echoes of McClaren at Montjuic 2007 (very toxic), Capello Montjuic 2008 (less so). Thomas Tuchel has credit in the bank. But this was very lacklustre against opponents ranked 173rd in world. A few fans did leave at half-time. Seven issues raised by the game…. 1 Who starts right-back? Curtis Jones began right-back, inverted into midfield, more comfortable there, then stayed there. Reece James wasted at left-back, inevitably turning inside on his right foot. Kyle Walker will be 36 at the World Cup. Top player for England but now the past. Tuchel has to believe more in Trent Alexander-Arnold. Has the elite passing range to break down opponents. Work on his defensive positioning, believe in him, unleash his unique strengths. Dead ball and moving, Alexander-Arnold needed by England. 2 Must be quicker with moves, not letting opposition settle. England were swifter, more precise for goal (50). Ezri Konsa to Jones, great ball behind Andorra defence, for Kane, saved. Madueke swept ball back across for Harry Kane to poach his 72nd goal in 106 appearances. Where would England be without Kane? He’s vital. 3 Cole Palmer’s best position? Tuchel likes two 10s, starting Palmer and Jude Bellingham (closest to Kane). Palmer’s been best for Chelsea off the right. So play him there when Bukayo Saka unavailable (as here), with Alexander-Arnold the pacy overlap. 4 Jordan Henderson? Seriously? Had acres of space, rarely pressed, impossible to judge, taken off. Been a very good player in his time. He’ll be 36 at the World Cup. Time to assess others at No 6. Tuchel would have learned more giving Trevoh Chalobah, Jones a start in there. Jones did ok there after changes. 5 Centre-backs. Tuchel loves Dan Burn. Not true international level, got beaten a couple of times. Why not look at Levi Colwill instead? Konsa, rescued Burn 76th min, now established as right c-b. Marc Guehi, superb at Euros, unavailable here, but deserves starting place. 6 England have to play with width, stretching defences, crossing for Kane and the late-arriving Declan Rice (who Tuchel sees at 8 not 6) and Bellingham. Noni Madueke, easily the game’s best player, lively, shot pushed away, couple of runs, excellent on the left, and recycled ball quickly for Kane’s goal. 7 Great support. Almost 7,000 England fans travelled. Tickets £50 a pop. Apart from a loud “No Surrender”, fans impressed. Deserve better than this poor performance. Kane leads the applause of the fans at the end ⬇️

@FabrizioRomano Imagine being a multimillionaire & not getting a bit of extra salary being the reason you don’t want to play for a team in the CL & would rather go back to a club that doesn’t want you, just for more money. I hope he succeeds at Utd but boy does he make it difficult to like him.

🚨❌ Main issue for Jadon Sancho was salary as Chelsea didn’t want to match his current salary at Manchester United. After negotiations, deal off and Sancho back to United from end of June… ready for new move.

@samuelluckhurst We can turn a corner & start improving if he goes. I appreciate what he’s done for the club but he’s flattered to deceive in recent seasons. Hope he goes so we can rebuilding. I won’t miss his diving, shouting at teammates, awful crossing and only playing well once every 4 games.

@samuelluckhurst Disgraceful. He’s one of only two players fit to wear the shirt and cut out to play for the club (Amad is the other, and no, Fernandes isn’t good enough). Hard to warm to Amorim when he’s replacing talented young wingers with full backs. The club’s soul and spirit is evaporating.

So, who will be brave enough to pit after lap 1 at #MonacoGP to get their 1st pit stop out the way immediately & then wait for the inevitable safety cars to make the strategy work. Got to be worth a go for some midfield runners? @MBrundleF1 @JensonButton @CroftyF1 @SkySportsF1
