OK. you got 2 weeks of food layered nicely all over your body. This could be the best thing to happen to you. Now... tell me you do not have a phone.... so take the phone,and a library, and a pen/pencil, a little notepad, and start looking fer a jo..j..ja....a aj.. a jo... a JOB!!! Now... keep in mind you dont know shit, cant doshit, and will take a job so very many people have taken as they enter the work force. During the job interview, be quiet until it is your turn to speak. Be courteous. be short, sweet concise succint. Be honest...as in...I dont know shit cant do shit so will have to be guided through the entire job for days. Then, pay attention, and learn to do your job. Do not complain. After a coupla months, you may get a little raise. You may get a little "promotion.NOW is waen you REALLY show them how wonderful you are. NEVER EVER be late. never argue withanyone...not co-workers, not customers. Learn to say I am sorry like you MEAN it. People (even youz) make mistakes. Dont turn it into WWlll. It depends. I have a default point. (By the way, cute trick with the 3 hands! PROPS!) My scale runs from zero to I have tipped $200 on a $100 restaurant tab. It's rare but it happens. If a server is just awful, I generally say something like.... I have a prayer group, and i intend to add you to our list of those needing prayer. Please tell me, i do not mean to pry, but you seem very much out of sorts. I know you are very bussy but could you give me an idea of what is troubling you? Your answer dictates what i will do from there... but time is short.. so... but as a normal day, normal service, normal meal.... on an $83 tab, somewhere between $12 and $20... In this case.... if everything was ok... ordinary good service , a smile... and whatever issues popped up, yu took care of it.... $17...cuz I like that $100 bill. If you are very new to serving.... VERY new.... and you find a way.... in the middle of dropping things, being embarrassed, missing an order.... but hanging in there and blushing and smiling... I will crack a joke or 2... give you a cpla thumbs up ...and do a $20. Attitude is everythiung... and some people will be just awful to you and to the entire place.... but you maintain your composure... even when you are on the verge of tears.... I know. I aint been a server, but I have bussed, caddied, cleaned up, washed dishes and so on ...
