This feels like someone who started working on the internet in 1993 writing a farewell in 2003, condemning the web as never amounting to more than a bookstore, illicit content, and pirating.
Appreciate what Ken built in the space even if it didn’t work out. A loss for his token holders that he’s tossing in the towel.
I do understand that people run out of gas and feel ready to look for inspiration elsewhere. It’s natural.
This farewell letter declaration about the space (including condemning its future) is, however, a wrong assessment and in my opinion reflects limited understanding of both what’s happening in the space as well as the evolution of most businesses and technologies.
The prospects of crypto having a positive impact on the world have never been greater.
Be the change you wish to see in the world.

7월 28일 오후 8시부터 시작된 @TREX_chain 밋업에서, 팀의 간단한 프로젝트 소개를 같이 진행했는데요.

i've been trying to gather the courage over the last day or so to express how I feel but it's honestly been the toughest thing ive had to do since the inception of our company
my heart goes out to Eugene’s parents and his brother, Jonathan. I can’t begin to imagine the pain they’re feeling, but please know that we, along with the entire Plume family, are here with you and holding you in our prayers.
since the beginning, @chriseyin, @eyqshen, and I have always pushed forward our vision of what we wanted to build, especially on how we could change the landscape, together. From ideating on the roadmap to our stupid jokes we’d crack while delirious from all the work we had to do, eugene was always the most positive, genuine, and pragmatic, giving us his insights/thoughts on how to drive our product forward
eugene was the kind of person who genuinely cared – not just about the work, but about the people around him. Even with the immense responsibility he carried as CTO & cofounder, he constantly went out of his way to support others across the company. that was just who he was – someone who would step in wherever he was needed, always looking to lighten the load for others, even if it meant taking on more himself.
i was devastated when I heard the news of his passing. I started thinking of the early days – simpler times when we didn’t even have an office yet. we would crowd into my living room because we just loved working together in person, even taking calls from my bathroom since there wasn’t enough space for all of us. And now, because of Eugene’s vision and leadership, we’ve grown into a global team of 40-50 people, all working out of a real office, united by the mission of advancing Plume forward in a meaningful way.
even as we navigate this incredibly difficult time, I know without a doubt that Eugene would want us to stay focused, to execute on the vision we built together, and to deliver everything on the roadmap for our community. however, the team is going through a healing process that may take some time but will make us stronger and more united to continue honoring Eugene’s legacy.
to all our friends, thanks for all the kind messages over the last few days.
and to Eugene, thanks for everything you’ve taught and done for us — you will be truly missed. until we meet again.
