@KenHanscom
Track & field tickets are currently $400-$2100 for nosebleeds. What is the likelihood the “cheaper” tickets are attainable in the future?

English

@RoadPainter Yes, many of the higher-end hotels will be. But there are over 100k hotel rooms in Los Angeles (similar to Paris), but substantially more short term rental inventory.
English

@KenHanscom Usually much will be contracted to the IOC/locog to enable hospitality package builds. Once that demand dries up, we get to have a go!
At least we don't have the MC26 issue of hotels disappearing to become Athletes Villages!
English

They have secured very nice accommodations for less than $100 / night and in some cases much lower. LA28 is likely to follow that same cycle although waiting last minute takes quite a discipline. Still, waiting until < 12 months before the event will save you and your wallet from frustrations.
English

@purse_jame48483 Varies by sport, but several lower priced sports available.
English

@Jeff_Swartz @KarlWarden Too bad, maybe catch you at Brisbane 2032?
English

@KenHanscom @KarlWarden No, you won’t Ken.
You and your buddies at LA28 have ensured that
English

@KenHanscom You're clearly not reading the room. People are upset all over Twitter, Reddit Facebook everywhere.
Drop 1 today was completely pointless and you know it. There were literally no opening ceremony tickets available.
DO BETTER!
English

Here’s what people do not want to hear: The first Olympic ticket drops are always limited and there are a lot of disappointments and only a fraction of tickets were sold. Trust me, as someone that LA28 will be my 6th Olympic Games, you are going to have MANY chances over the next two years. LA is the first time I had access to the first drop after skipping the Paris 2024!drop altogether.
English

@TheFin22 Personally, I would wait unless the category you want is there.

@KenHanscom @KenHanscom
First time potential buyer here with a time slot tomorrow.
If I want to go to track & field, what are your recommendations? Buy whatever is available in my budget or wait?
English

@KarlWarden @KenHanscom Ken is full of shit.
I’m sure he will make out like a bandit reselling tickets in two years.
Let’s just hope the venues are empty and this band of grifters gets exposed
English

@rockstar0783 That’s what the LA28 terms say, although they reserve the right to change them anytime.
English

@KenHanscom What i'm wondering is what the amount of tickets we will be allowed to get? is it 12 from now through the end
English

@Jeff_Swartz @KarlWarden I have lived in the area for 30 years. Don’t let facts get in the way of a false narrative.
English

@KenHanscom @KarlWarden Well good for you Ken!
How fortunate.
Guess knowing the right people always trumps living in the area.
This whole thing is corrupt and you seem to be right in the middle.
English

@Jeff_Swartz @ls1228 Lol, people that block you before the reply have no clue. I attend Olympics, I don’t broker them. Anyone doing 10 seconds of research could figure that out.
English

@cheeseatnight Unknown demand. The LA28 games are more popular than expected. This isn’t a Taylor Swift tour with 30 stops. I do not think this was fully anticipated and you need to finding the balance between selling out and having tons unsold is not a simple math problem.
English

@KenHanscom What is the point of that, though?
If the successive drops are less limited, why put all the Drop 1 people (non-locals) through such a poor experience??
