Here’s what people do not want to hear: The first Olympic ticket drops are always limited and there are a lot of disappointments and only a fraction of tickets were sold. Trust me, as someone that LA28 will be my 6th Olympic Games, you are going to have MANY chances over the next two years. LA is the first time I had access to the first drop after skipping the Paris 2024!drop altogether.

@Steve_Sailer @CWoznicki I just found this on Facebook and several comments are stating this is reliable. I gotta laugh, the FB link states there is a section “I”, but the Reddit post only goes to “H”.

I seem to be the only 2028 Olympic ticket buyer who wasn't flabbergasted by how high the prices are. I'd figured gymnastics, men's basketball, and other popular events would be out of this world. So my family got 28 tickets for $2,900, averaging $104. 18 are gold medal finals.

@Steve_Sailer @CWoznicki @Steve_Sailer Thanks for the response! I’m okay with that & more promising than what I e heard from others. My goal is 3-4 days of track & field for under $250 per day (nosebleeds).

@TheFin22 @CWoznicki I think I paid $186 per seat (including service fees) for July 19 at 4pm. But I'll be so high up in the huge Coliseum that I'll probably have a better view of my car in the parking lot than of the runners. The view could be partially obstructed by the press box.

@CWoznicki I'll be in the top row of the Coliseum for the men's 1500m and 400m hurdles finals, the best races of the last two Olympics.

@StillKP @chriscfore @StillKP First optimistic thing I’ve heard about tickets. Whole thing is lacking transparency… I watched a video last week released by LA28 committee & it said 2/3 of tickets would be under $200.

@TheFin22 @chriscfore Actually you will probably have good selection of events and lower ticket prices. That is the beginning of the next ticket drop so they will have released new batch of tickets in all price ranges. You will be way better off than local residents were at the end of our draw!

I spent $195 each on tickets for the gold medal rugby game on Saturday. Everything else, IMO, was priced RIDICULOUSLY high for 2 years out . . . . And having no clue who we are watching. Closing ceremony tix were $4800 on Saturday!

@DannyManus @DannyManus Wow… I was expecting that for 100m final tickets. Was hoping other final races would be under $400.

This was an LA boondoggle. They knew if you would pay $23 for a smoothie, you'll pay $500 for Olympics tix. And they were right since it all sold out in 4 days. Really sucks for everyone else in LA who didn't have a Day 1 timeslot. Or isnt rich AF.

So my 48 hr. ticket window just closed. Deets: -Gymnastics all sold out -Most womens sports 50%+ cheaper vs. mens -Higher-capacity venues = greater availability -Cheaper tix gone; had to settle for mid-tier -Spent $785 total on 4 tix (qualifying events in basketball & equestrian)

@BrerOswald Fill in a non-Disney follower. I Want to bring my kids for the first time in September (1 day pass at Magic Kingdom). Anything I need to watch out for?

These prices are ludicrous when anywhere from 25-50% of the parks are walled off

@TheFin22 @ghelman17 @LaInaMinute @LA28 Hi! My hubby got ATH13 —Friday July 19 9:30 AM Category F tickets for $185 each plus $44 fees. They’re in the nosebleeds but we just wanted to be there. It does include one final —men’s triple jump. Also women’s 100 m hurdles heats, men’s 5000 and others.

One of my earliest memories was w/ my parents at the Olympics at the Coliseum in 1984. It’s the first time I recognized L.A. as a globally important city, shining & thriving under the World spotlight. Now I officially have tickets @LA28 and get to share the same with my son🙏

@TheFin22 @LA28 Ones I saw were $1000 range… very expensive. Maybe some $500. I thought this first drop was for SoCal residents - I don’t think it opens up to rest of county yet?

Got my @LA28 ticket window - there are no tickets for BMX or skateboarding. Does that mean it's sold out? Or will they be for sale possibly tomorrow? Only $28 ones I find are hockey and football. tickets.la28.org/event/bmx-free…

@ghelman17 @LaInaMinute @LA28 It seems to me that you have a better shot at cheaper tickets if you have an earlier timeslot. Still, we managed to get some good events. We’re just happy to be there!
