1. 1-1.4% of Oklahomans currently make minimum wage. A dramatic majority of those are young people in their first jobs. They aren’t supporting families on these. Yes, we’re talking MINIMUM wage. 2. The language in the SQ you only read after I correctly told you that you commented without reading it is where people had an issue. “Continuing indefinitely without approval” is not something that anyone should vote for. It also removed protections for family farms and ranchers in a massive Ag state. 3. If the author penned a better SQ, like leaving exemptions and protections in and cutting the indefinitely raises without approval, and said “we’re just raising it to $10-12” it would’ve passed. 4. What the hell does a native New Yorker living in LA think he’s doing commenting on life in Oklahoma and what their voters should and shouldn’t do?

Oklahoma: Young people? Screw 'em. Why do we need to help them? Insane. Minimum wage in Oklahoma in 2009 was $7.25 It's still $7.25 Nothing in America costs the same in 2026 as it did in 2009. Oklahoma hates its young people.
