Not only are you expected to run an entire business, but youre expected to do so at a severe disadvantage. You will be banned and deplatformed over and over again, regardless of if you broke a TOS or not. You can't advertise in half the places other businesses can. You'll be discriminated against by banks and landlords. Governments around the world actively work to make your job harder. And on top of that, youre an athlete and performer. Youre expected to keep yourself in top shape, to constantly churn out content on multiple platforms, all of which demand near daily uploads, most of them for free. Youre expected to adapt to new algorithms and follow trends. And you'll be competing with people who have teams dedicated to doing every one of these things. And that's not even getting into how creatively demanding the job can be. Constantly looking for new angles, new outfits, new premises. You need to know about cinematography, editing, lighting, sound. You are a short-order guerilla filmmaker. I can't help but laugh whenever someone calls it easy money. There will be exceptions to this in any career, but success in sex work, especially long-term, is not a fluke. It's the result of countless hours of hard-work, talent, and ambition.
