Serie A’s level has dropped but Núñez’s last genuinely top season was in 2021-22. He was still good for Liverpool in 2023-24, just not at that level. Now he is not even in Al Hilal’s league squad & is barely playing regularly, despite costing €53m.

@lauriolaaa I 100% agree and this is probably unpopular opinion now. However there’s no other manager on the market there’s literally no one else. It was Palladino or Spalletti.

This is why I don’t agree with extending Spalletti before securing top 4. You came in to do 1 job which was reach top 4. Tudor came in and did that last year…

For me, Spalletti is the right coach to build a stable project, not necessarily to win trophies immediately. That has always been my view. If you think he can win major titles with an average squad, you are fooling yourself. Right now, though Juventus need someone like Spalletti.

A good test for Spalletti, showing that we cannot afford to play every match without a true striker, especially against sides like these. The substitutions came far too late, Muric’s performance alone was enough to earn Sassuolo a deserved point. Next up is Genoa before a very demanding run with three tough matches ahead.
