“Toned” actually means:
>having muscle
>having low enough body fat that you can see the definition of said muscle
My arms look “toned” even when I’m not flexing because I have a huge amount of muscle mass and I’m about 16% body fat.
5lb dumbbells aren’t going to get you the results you want.

women tend to grossly UNDERestimate the HIGH amount of muscle mass and LOW amount of body fat that is needed for "toned" arms. having any visible separation between your shoulders, biceps, and triceps tends to require us to get LEAN.
