Demands for higher payouts by gig workers & delivery partners has opened up a national debate. @blitzkreigm explains the anatomy of the biz model & also does a stress test. For instance, at current costs, the model just about works at ₹700 Average Order Value. If gig worker payouts are increased by even ₹10 per order, the AOV would have to rise to ₹800 for a similar contribution margins. A further ₹10 hike would push the contribution profitability threshold further to ₹1,000 AOV. Even at the current payout rates for gig workers, there is fragility when Average Order Values come in under ₹700. Blinkit and Instamart’s AOVs are near ₹700. प्रदूषण नियंत्रण के लिए ‘Long Term Solutions’ पर आज दिल्ली सचिवालय में मुख्यमंत्री श्रीमती रेखा गुप्ता की अध्यक्षता में वाहन निर्माता कंपनियों एवं एग्रीगेटर प्लेटफॉर्म्स की बैठक आयोजित हुई। राजधानी में EV को प्रोत्साहित करने और साझा परिवहन को मजबूत करने के उद्देश्य से सरकार नई EV पॉलिसी ला रही है। बैठक में इस दिशा में समन्वय पर विस्तार से चर्चा की गई। एग्रीगेटर कंपनियों ने शेयर टैक्सी सेवाएं शुरू करने तथा महिला ड्राइवरों द्वारा संचालित टैक्सियों के संचालन पर सहमति जताई है। एक माह के भीतर इन सेवाओं की शुरुआत की जाएगी। वाहन निर्माता कंपनियों के साथ EV विस्तार से जुड़े सभी पहलुओं पर चर्चा हुई। कंपनियों ने EV को बढ़ावा देने के लिए सरकार के प्रयासों में सक्रिय सहयोग का आश्वासन दिया है। सरकार और उद्योग मिलकर दिल्ली के लिए दीर्घकालिक समाधान पर कार्य करेंगे। बैठक में कैबिनेट मंत्री डॉ. पंकज कुमार सिंह, परिवहन विभाग के वरिष्ठ अधिकारी, वाहन निर्माता कंपनियां टाटा मोटर्स, महिंद्रा, मारुति सुजुकी, टोयोटा, होंडा तथा एग्रीगेटर कंपनियां ओला, ऊबर और रैपिडो के प्रतिनिधि उपस्थित रहे। @drpankajbjp
