the problem is just too many fucking N+1s and polling jobs btw... like nooooooo let's keep them and sep clients into dedicated DBs (ain't ever gonna work because our DB has disgusting modelling and lots of stuff doesn't even have sane or correct fks lol and we're gonna miss a bunch of stuff but anyway...) would literally take any llm a few hours to fix but again apparently engineers are just code monkeys doing the product teams whims lol

lol in an engineering all hands and another brave junior engineer called our VP of eng's plan to "sidestep perf issues by copying tenants into dedicated databases" as a hack instead of focusing on just fixing underlying issues and VP was literally like "some problems have infra problems and that those clients wouldn't notice problems if we migrated them" like yeah... this is true... but this is also how we got into the state we're in where we have literally the biggest fucking db gcp can give us and it's still falling over because "it's a product team decision what we work on and they want us to do the quick fix" like yeah they've been fucking doing that for years
