lol this is genuinely the craziest thing in Movie Box Office Stuff in decades. Oppenheimer, a three hour biopic released in the middle of the summer, has made *$850 million* goddamn dollars. it's one of the 100 biggest movies ever made (not adjusted for inflation).

When counterfeit money printed for To Live and Die in LA got into circulation, William Friedkin was contacted by the Secret Service and a DA to come in for questioning, Friedkin basically told them to go fuck themselves and then immediately spent more counterfeit money lol
